Compare and Contrast

Do you ever find yourself trolling someone else’s life?

You know…that friend on Instagram who seems to have it all? They have a perfect marriage, great career and baby Gap model kids?

The great danger in constantly comparing ourselves to others is the lack of connection to our own lives.  We are so busy looking over the fence that we are not aware of what is on our side.

I find myself doing it all the time, and I have to stop!!

In an age of more and more, I am drawn to believe that the best life is a life of simple pleasures, honest hard work, frugality and community.  And I guess at this point I am tired of hearing myself say that, and not following through and making those words action.

Here at Jenny and Pearl, we sell vintage clothing (everyone has to make a living!), talk about all of our favorite California spots, and share other tips and thoughts.

But more importantly we want to create an online community where we can stop the Pinterest,Instagram,Facbook, LindkedIN madness and have an old fashioned conversation.  Pull up a chair, pour yourself a cup of coffee (as my Grandma always says, Coffee first!) and stay a while.

Write us a note, leave us a comment, and send us an email.  We want to hear from you, and we want you to feel like a part of this Jenny & Pearl community.

We wouldn’t be here without you.
